Sons is a short mash-up of vignettes collected in and near our home with my portable phone around the time of the two-month (17 March – 11 May) confinement in France. It includes clips of homeschooling efforts, neighbours doing yard work, daily walks within a one kilometre radius of the apartment, and our child’s bird calls and howls at the full moon. The title alludes to the French word for ‘sounds’, the English noun for 'male children'.

The work is part of the Home-works exhibition at Spilt Milk (UK) opening 12 September 2020; it also exists as an audio piece and is part of the sound library collaboration between Must Use Critical Knowledge and the Arts Territory Exchange from July 2020.
